The Junior School were very excited to welcome back alumna, education consultant and author of ‘Cleverlands’ Lucy Crehan as their guest speaker at this year’s Speech Day in July. Lucy gave an inspiring and lively speech about her life, from her time at St James to living abroad researching for her book. Throughout her life Lucy demonstrated to the children that she hasn't been afraid to ask herself ‘Why not?’ and she urged them to write their own stories and make their own path too.
Both children and adults were kept enthralled and for anyone interested in education and education systems ‘Cleverlands’, which explores the secrets behind the success of the world’s education superpowers, is a must read.
